Boarding at Scots

Boarding at Scots offers boys a safe, secure, and nurturing environment in which they can develop their unique potential – academically, physically and spiritually.

More than 240 boys from Years 5 to 12 call the Boarding Houses at Scots home. By setting boundaries, gently but firmly, all boys know what is expected of them and develop high expectations of themselves. Ultimately, we hope all boys leave the Scots Boarding community as responsible, open-hearted and open-minded young men who respect others.

Boarding Bursaries

Bursaries are available to boys entering Years 7 to 11 and provide exemption of tuition and/or boarding fees. Bursaries are awarded based on a range of criteria, including financial need (means tested), leadership qualities, academic performance, interview and co-curricular abilities.

To discover the type of bursaries and for more information download the General Tuition and Boarding Bursaries.

To complete your application the required forms must be shared with the College:

Please discuss with the Director of Boarding, Mr Justin McInnes at j.mcinnes@scots.college before completing an application form.

William Elder

1927-2010

Mr Alan Elder was born in Scotland and migrated to Australia with his parents at a young age. He attended The Scots College for all his schooling, graduating in 1944. He played 1st XI Cricket and was a member of the College Cadet Unit. After leaving school Mr Elder studied accountancy and retained a life-long love of the College, especially the Pipes and Drums. Mr Elder never married, however the significant bequest he left will allow his Scots family to remember him through the Lang Walker Business Centre.
