Race Entry Procedure

In order to enter and compete in the Scots Race 2025, please follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Select your relevant registration form and complete the Scots Race Waivers online.

Step 2: Once the Waivers are successfully completed, please finalise, pay for and submit your registration via the TryBooking form.

Step 3: Once the TryBooking form is successfully submitted, please complete and submit the Perisher Waiver form via the link provided.

Important: Scots Race entry is not complete until the Scots Race Waivers, TryBooking form and Perisher Participant Waiver form have been successfully submitted.

Important Reminders

  • All racers are to wear helmets (approved for Snowsports) when racing in the Scots Race.
  • All snowboarders are to wear wrist guards (approved for Snowsports) when racing in the Scots Race.
  • Parents and carers are required to complete their child/ren’s Emergency ID panel on the Scots Race bib.
  • The Scots Race operates under the same rules as used by Interschools Snowsport. Please note that some general exemptions may apply.
  • Division 6, 5, 4 are not permitted to wear race suits in the Alpine Ski event.
  • Race suits are not permitted to be worn in any division of the Snowboard Cross event.

Registrations for 2025 Scots Snowsports event and activities are now open to Scots families.

Special Rules

Course slipping by coaches/instructors other than authorised Perisher Race Department staff, or those authorised by the Chief of Race, shall risk having their clients (competitors) disqualified.

Any unauthorised course slipping may incur time penalties for the next competitor or group of competitors as determined by the race jury.

The Scots Race follows Snow Australia Interschools rules of racing. However, the Scots Race jury reserves the right to apply time penalties on any racer should they do any action, for example, miss a gate, that may normally lead to a disqualification in accordance with Snow Australia Interschools rules.

William Elder

1927-2010

Mr Alan Elder was born in Scotland and migrated to Australia with his parents at a young age. He attended The Scots College for all his schooling, graduating in 1944. He played 1st XI Cricket and was a member of the College Cadet Unit. After leaving school Mr Elder studied accountancy and retained a life-long love of the College, especially the Pipes and Drums. Mr Elder never married, however the significant bequest he left will allow his Scots family to remember him through the Lang Walker Business Centre.
